Our Surrogate Doggie

This is Chi-chi; Chi-chi belongs to the owner of Tesoro Escondido. Chi-chi regularly hung out with us...he sat outside the front of our cabana, hung out on our deck, accompanied us on trips to our beach, and he even walked the 5 minute walk to Playa Bluff with us one day. Chi-chi is a Chow/Huskie mix and as such, not well suited for the hot caribbean weather. He kept himself cool by frequent dips in the ocean. He was super smart though...the surf was pretty intense on our beach so he would go in up to his middle (as seen in the below picture), but he would run out of the water when a big wave was headed his way.

Chi-chi was happy, affectionate and loving; he was our surrogate doggie, helping ease our Stella separation anxiety. We miss him!
