I actually took some footage of a hermit crab crawling near our cabana in Panama. The best part is that I had had a couple of beers when I took the footage, so my commentary is hilarious.
I also was witness to an awesome hermit crab/toad showdown in Panama. It was while we were staying at the cabana. I took a trip up to the main hotel to get something from the freezer when I came across a hermit crab the size of my fist (so big it didn't even fit in it's shell) in the middle of a showdown with a toad (also the size of my fist). By the time I got Todd the toad had disappeared...but he saw the giant hermit crab. It was super cool.
Bel's school has pet hermit crabs in their room. Bel hates them because when she first started there, they took them out out for her to see. One peed on her. She is completely grossed out by crabs now.

That's so sad! She used to love crabs! Does she still like cartoon crabs, or do they all freak her out?
