Crabs: Mr. Hermit

You may remember from our honeymoon pics that I developed an affection for crabs. The affection is for all crabs: the crazy blue/white crabs that scurried around our cabanas and were found flattened on the road like squirrels in MN, and the hermit crabs that made slow and laborious-looking journeys with their houses on their backs. My crab affection really turned to an obsession, during the honeymoon, which continued throughout our second trip. So the following few posts are in tribute to those cool crustaceans with which I am so fascinated.

This is Mr. Hermit Crab. We ran across him on our hike out of Cahuita National Park. Check out the size of his claw! And he still fits in his house.
