One of the hikes we did in the park was up to Moro Rock. Below is a picture of Moro Rock from the bottom.

We climbed up 300 feet (which doesn't sound like much) - up a steep stone staircase carved out of the rock. It was a difficult climb, considering the steepness and the altitude. There was some serious heavy breathing going on - and not in a good way.
The below picture kind of gives you an idea of how steep it was.

When we finally reached the top we were standing above, but in the middle of, a giant valley surrounded by mountains. It felt like the edge of the world, as though it were impossible for anything to exist beyond that point.
