Need help...

As you all have likely noticed, I have become blog-lazy lately. It's terrible; I feel guilty about it. Not only have I failed to post on my own blog, but I've failed to keep up on all of your blogs as well. For that, I apologize. It's just a slow patch...
One of the reasons I haven't updated my blog is that I've become EXTREMELY frustrated...I've attempted on numerous occasions to post wedding pics, but I've been unsuccessful. Our photographer gave our wedding pics to us as TIF files...really large TIF files...we're talking 28.7 MB per picture. As a result, I cannot get them to upload to my blog. Does anyone have any suggestions? Should I be compressing them into JPEGs? If so, how do I do that?
Any help offered would be much appreciated.

TIFF files are so much larger than JPEG because they're not compressed. Every time you save a file with a .jpeg extension, it compresses it. After a while, the quality becomes uber crappy, so you should never print from a JPEG.

To save it as a JPEG, you should just be able to select File, Save As, then change the extension at the end to .jpeg.

Sorry, I'm of no help. I would LOVE to see more of your wedding pics though, so get on it! :)
