Stella's new nickname: Staples
After a recent eventful trip to the Arlington/Arkwright dog park, Stella returned home with a nasty dog bite on her back (and Todd had blood all over his pants that he didn't even notice...hmmm...). I saw the bite after she returned home...it looked painful. Our vet was kind enough to stay open after hours to treat the wound. They cleaned the owie and stapled it shut; I wasn't there, but Todd said Stella did not enjoy the stapling process. She returned home with a shaved square patch on her back, 3 shiny visible staples, and the dreaded cone (more on that later).
Of course, we have since affectionately dubbed her "staples."

Her new nickname isn't stiches or stitches, it's Staples. I changed it. The spelling error was a problem.

Poor thing! She deserves lots of love right now! Good thing she has such good parents.
Oh, how horrible! Did Stella get a bite in to defend herself?
Poor Puppy. What kind of dog did Stella tangle with? The owner should have known better than to take it to a dog park!
